Furniture World is a family owned company, originally opened in 1982, in Redruth. Since then it has become one of the leading furniture fetailers in the South West. Our largest and most established store is the Redruth Mega Store housing 20 000 square feet of furniture, carpets and soft furnishings. Our Truro Store is located in the former Courts Furnisher store and leans towards a more contemporary flavour. The other two stores are in Newquay (by the boating lake) and St Austell (next to Tesco). Both offer an incredible range of sofas, beds, dining and bedroom furniture. All of our stores have carpet departments.
May 2010, Furniture World is proud to announce the confirmation of new store opening in Plymouth. The store is set to be the largest furniture store south of Bristol and will become our flag ship store. The store will benefit from a huge range of furniture and carpets as well as a 'new' soft furnishing department. We will also have a dedicated childrens furniture area and conservatory furniture area. Many of the industries leading brands will be on show including Ercol, G-Plan, Tetrad, Staples and Relyon to name a few.
The Plymouth Store is in a fantastic location being the Coypool Retail Park next to Comet, Curry's, B&Q and Harveys with ample parking.
This is a fantastic move for us and we look forward to our present and future customers enjoying this new store.
In 2007 we purchased a purpose built, 25 000 square feet distribution unit on Cardrew Way in Redruth. All deliveries are made to and from this unit and it is the base for our accounts department. The unit was purchased to keep up with the growth of the business and has increased our stock holding capabilities by 300%, meaning we now carry an incredible amount of stock for immediate delivery. Whether it’s leather or fabric suites, oak dining and bedroom furniture or beds, we have many ranges in stock for 48 hour delivery, anywhere in Cornwall. As far as we know, no other furniture retailer can offer so many ranges from stock.
